John Mattson has signed a turnkey construction contract with Jiben AB for an upgrade project in Rotsunda, Sollentuna. The project comprises 243 apartments and commercial premises.
The buildings were constructed in the 1940s by the company’s founder, master builder John Mattson. In 2019, John Mattson Fastighetsföretagen acquired the properties from Sollentuna Stadshus AB.
The upgrade project is planned to commence around the turn of the year 2026/2027. The total residential/commercial lettable area (BOA/LOA) amounts to 14,500/2,200 square metres.
– Our strategy is based on the long-term ownership, management and development of our properties, with upgrade projects serving as an important value driver in our growth journey. By developing our existing portfolio, we strengthen both the attractiveness of the areas and the long-term value of the properties. In Rotsunda, we are building on an area with a special connection to our history and developing homes and premises for the future. We selected Jiben as our partner because they share our commitment to reducing climate impact and recognize the importance of carrying out the project with due consideration for our tenants, says Ludmilla Brandt, Head of Project Development at John Mattson.
– We are pleased and proud to have been entrusted with carrying out this project together with John Mattson. It is an exciting assignment that gives us the opportunity to contribute to the development and modernization of existing properties, says Marcus Hallgren, Jiben AB.
